Develops quality, performance, and safety standards and processes for construction projects and operations. Being a Top Construction Executive manages financial processes like forecasting, estimating, budgeting, and cost control to ensure profitability. Builds effective teams and the capacity to estimate, scope, design, plan, organize and implement construction projects. Additionally, Top Construction Executive represents the organization in discussions and negotiations with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Identifies risk and implements insurance and risk control strategies. Monitors costs and timelines to deliver projects on time and within budget. Evaluates and implements new or innovative construction methods and systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Top Construction Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.     MCL Construction is seeking a dynamic, future-oriented Project Executive to guide the preconstruction process, advocate for innovation and manage customer relationships as part of an intentional, creative team committed to delivering the best for our clients.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
    • Guide Owners, Architects, and MCL Team through the Preconstruction Process and hold the team accountable to MCL Basics and MCL SOPs.
    • Work on Department and Advancement Initiatives by continually learning, advancing, and staying up to date with the industry.
    • Build Owner trust by functioning as a trusted advisor, making the process enjoyable for the Owner, and ensuring the team exceeds Owner expectations.
    • Advocate for innovation in all aspects of the project, utilizing critical thinking.
    • Manage Project Team Aspect/Contribution for Pursuit Process (RFP) and Pursuit Interview Process. Ultimate accountability for Project Success.
    • Champion new and existing MCL Initiatives with an advanced level of understanding of field and office operations.
    • Assist with Business Development efforts.
    • Drive and assist when needed with high-level company strategies and goals.
    • Contribute to developing company goals and initiatives.
    • Establish, maintain, and manage current and new Owner relationships.
    • Manage Customer relationships.
    • Hire, mentor, and develop Staff by engaging actively with their Project Teams. Lead with Empathy.
    • Represent MCL by actively being involved in the community.
    REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or an Engineering field (Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural)
    • Advanced-level understanding and experience in all facets of commercial construction
    • Strong work ethic and dedication to the job
    • Passionate about construction, process improvement, and employee development
    • Thoroughness in all aspects of the position and in overseeing projects and staff
    • Creative and innovative approach to project development, project teams, and execution
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Works well in a team environment for project development and execution
