Top Community Development Executive leads and plans all aspects of an organization's economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Develops and maintains relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify business development opportunities. Position Summary
Responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating outreach initiatives to ensure the bank reaches and serves all parts of our service areas and working to enhance the bank’s name recognition and brand throughout the communities the bank serves. Responsible for working with internal partners to promote the bank’s purpose and culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
· Build relationships with community partners in support of outreach and diversity programs.
· Establish and maintain relationships with organizations that work with minorities, females, veterans, individuals with disabilities and other protected groups.
· Coordinate outreach efforts to support the bank’s diversity, equity and inclusion activities for all stakeholders including employees, customers, vendors, and the local communities.
· Support the bank’s fair lending efforts
· Support the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) efforts including
· Support the bank’s affirmative action efforts
· Maintain documentation of all outreach efforts.
· Communicate outreach efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
· Assist with training for bank staff on CRA, Fair Lending, Affirmative Action, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
· Identify and coordinate volunteer opportunities for bank employees.
· Serve as the bank’s cultural ambassador.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 3-5 years of community outreach experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Effective oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups.
· Ability to interact with all levels of the Bank.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under time constraints.
· Effective time management skills.
· Proficiency in using personal computers and office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
