Top Budgeting Executive oversees all aspects of an organization's budgeting and financial forecasting function. Directs the development and evaluation of policies and processes that will support the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization. Being a Top Budgeting Executive implements operational processes for the annual budget and capital planning. Establishes performance indicators used to evaluate and analyze actual performance against budgets. Additionally, Top Budgeting Executive leads the development of budget planning and forecasting tools to support management decisions. Presents budget data to senior management and/or board. Typically requires a MBA or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Top Budgeting Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact.     About The Hiring Company: They are a rapidly growing logistics company with a revenue of $40M in 2023 and a team of around 40 dedicated employees. Their operations span across 80% Truckload (50% van, 50% Flat & HH), 10% partial, and 10% LTL, with the flexibility to pivot to Reefer as needed.     Role Overview: The Vice President of Sales is a pivotal individual contributor role focused on driving revenue growth and market expansion. This position requires a seasoned professional with deep logistics industry knowledge and a proven sales track record. The VP of Sales will build and maintain strong customer relationships and work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with business goals. While leadership opportunities may arise in the future, this role is currently centered on personal sales contributions.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and grow market share.
    • Identify market opportunities and create plans to leverage emerging trends and new business segments.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with marketing and operations to align sales strategies with product offerings and pricing.
    • Monitor sales metrics, analyze performance data, and generate reports to guide strategic decisions.
    • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
    • Contribute to the development of annual sales budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
    • Proven success in sales roles within the logistics industry, with at least 2 years of experience.
    • Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach.
    • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, industry events, and sales support.
