Top Accounting Executive provides technical and operational leadership across accounting functions. Develops and implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Being a Top Accounting Executive operationalizes accounting systems and processes to deliver continuous improvements. Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Additionally, Top Accounting Executive establishes internal auditing processes and coordinates external audits. Uses in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and best practices to develop accounting professionals. May require a master's degree in accounting or finance. May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Typically reports to top management. The Top Accounting Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. This position will manage the financial accounting and reporting for multiple locations, corporate accounting and analysis, and consolidate operational financials. Duties
- Assist and supervise the preparation of consolidation monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements of multiple entities
- Responsible for general ledger management and assisting the Controller with monthly close and analysis, acquisitions, fixed asset additions, and equity transactions
- Must have Inventory Accounting, WIP, and Percentage of Completion experience
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial analysis
- Review schedules and support for general ledger account balances
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies
- Assist and coordinate the annual financial audits
- Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting staff
- Assist operations teams with accounting/finance-related issues
- Assist the Controller and complete special projects as assigned by the Controller or the CFO
Requirements
- BBA in Accounting, active CPA license ( )
- 6 years of experience in accounting with a strong preference for a blend of Public Accounting and accounting for software or manufacturing industry experience
- Must have experience in Manufacturing industry or Software industry
- Experienced in process improvements and implementing best practices
- Supervisory experience is a must
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organize
- Resourceful and can wear different hats
