Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Additionally, Top Accounting Executive establishes internal auditing processes and coordinates external audits. Uses in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and best practices to develop accounting professionals. May require a master's degree in accounting or finance. May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Typically reports to top management. The Top Accounting Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Job Title Accounting and Tax Supervisor
As an Accounting and Tax Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the monthly accounting and tax processes while providing excellent personal service to a section of our small business clients. Compensation
$70,000 - $105,000 yearly
Responsibilities
What You'll Do- Provide exceptional, personal service to a dedicated section of our small business clientele.
- Provide real insight to our clients into the financial strengths and weaknesses of their business to help their business thrive.
- Supervise and manage monthly accounting and tax processes.
- Lead client onboarding, monthly reconciliations, tax planning, and preparation efforts.
- Work with a variety of accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, to keep client accounts accurate and up-to-date.
- Engage in continuous professional development and help other team members develop their own skills.
Who You Are- Passionate about small businesses and experienced in managing multiple client accounts.
- Upbeat and confident with a friendly personality.
- A CPA or EA, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm preferred, and at least 2 years of accounting supervisory experience.
- Tech-savvy with a strong proficiency in modern accounting software. QuickBooks Online certification is a plus.
- Tax return preparation (1040, 1065, 1120S) experience required.
- Looking for a role that offers the flexibility of remote work without sacrificing team interaction or career growth.
- A self-starter, who researches and dives into new problems looking for solutions.
- An effective communicator who thrives on building long-term client relationships.
