Tool Design Engineer jobs in Maryland
Tool Design Engineer designs and develops tools and machinery used to facilitate and optimize manufacturing processes. Reviews product design and build requirements to determine tooling concepts, design options, testing plans, and specifications. Being a Tool Design Engineer develops designs for fixtures, jigs, gauges, cutting and forming tools, carts, racks, and other items to support production. Utilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create accurate, complete, and concise design models and documentation to fabricate tools. Additionally, Tool Design Engineer estimates costs, resource requirements, and materials required for tools. May manage the sourcing, quoting, or procurement of purchased tools. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Design Engineer work is closely managed. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Process Engineer specializing in Injection Molding. The Process Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including process design, process control, analytical skills, and process engineering. The candidate will work closely with a team of professionals to optimize the manufacturing process and ensure the highest quality products are produced. The role is located in Forest Hill, MD.
Qualifications
- Process Design, Process Control, and Process Engineering skills
- Analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving
- Experience in Injection Molding and Chemical Engineering
- Excellent technical and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience in the plastic injection molding industry is a plus
