Teller provides in-person customer service to process routine financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, and loan payments. Processes requests for money orders, cashiers' and travelers' checks, and foreign currency exchanges. Being a Teller responds to customer inquiries, identifies needs, and makes referrals or cross-sells bank products and services. Prepares daily cash settlements and proof record for cash drawer and ATM following standard procedures. Additionally, Teller follows all required security procedures and policies regarding customers' personal information and money handling. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a head Teller. The Teller works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description
Provides quality, personalized customer service in person and by telephone using the customer's name, greetings, and closings to ensure customer satisfaction;

Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts and processes deposits accurately and in accordance with financial institution procedures.
Cashes checks and processes withdrawals accurately and in accordance with financial institution procedures.
Accepts and processes loan payments and generates customer receipts.
Processes currency and coin orders.
Places holds on accounts in accordance with financial institution's procedures.
Maintains cash drawer within prescribed limits.
Purchases from and sells money to vault as needed.
Verifies and balances assigned cash drawer daily.
Assists in identifying cash offages.
Maintains cash drawer variances within CBOK's guidelines.
Accurately completes Currency Transaction Reports, Monetary Sales Logs, and Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act.
Obtains appropriate documentation from customers and non-customers.
Explains, promotes, and sells retail products and services.
Recognizes and identifies cross-selling opportunities and refers customers to the appropriate area of the Bank for additional products and services.
Actively participates in iStep program; attends appropriate sales and iStep meetings and training; utilizes iStep program initiatives;
works with manager to set iStep goals and takes responsibility for reaching targeted goals.
Attends all required training.
Acquires and maintains knowledge of relevant products, services, policies, and procedures.
Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to teller and customer service areas (, Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, E, DD, P, OFAC, etc.
evidenced by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations.
Acquires and maintains thorough understanding of security procedures; practices established procedures.

Requirements
Education and / or Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous teller or cash handling experience preferred
Previous customer service experience preferred
Previous sales experience preferred
Knowledge of bank accounts and services, policies and procedures, and regulations preferred
Experience with banking software preferred
Computer and Equipment Skills :
Ability to operate teller and office equipment including computers, calculators / adding machines, telephones, voice mail, electronic typewriters, copy machines, fax machines, automatic currency counter, coin machine, check encoder, remote capture machine, and security devices.
Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software preferred
Communication Skills :
Ability to read, write, and speak English
