Systems Engineer jobs in Michigan

Test components and sub-systems for Automotive Climate Comfort and Thermal Management Systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical and/or electrical tests on product components or series of components
• Design and develop specialized measurements, special-purpose instrumentation, and/or shop or laboratory test equipment
• Execute pre-establish test protocols
• Work with test and design engineers to develop new tests
• Provide on-time information to replenish test consumables
• Keeps records on work performed, analyzes data collected, and reports results
• Keep test logs up to date
• Maintains good housekeeping, safety practices and supplies
• Assist maintenance in equipment troubleshooting
• Verify calibration of tools and equipment used

Years of Experience:

• 3-5 years experience with automotive HVAC systems or test experience preferred

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred

Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical concepts
• Understanding Automotive Validation Requirements preferred
• Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Some instrumentation knowledge (Thermocouple/ Pressure transducers)
• General computer knowledge (MS Office)
• Basic data acquisition knowledge to be able to program test parameters, use data buckets to collect information.
