Micron Technology’s MBU Mobile Systems Architecture Group is focused on the power and performance of memory devices in the Mobile System-on-Chips (SoCs), enabling Micron memory parts to stay ahead of the competition in both power and performance.
Working as an engineer in the MBU Systems Architecture Group, you will be part of a team working on next-gen Memory & Storage solutions, establishing the competitive advantage of the Micron parts or identifying the areas of improvement to stay ahead of the competition, you will contribute to the development of new architectures and products using Micron’s next generation Memory/Storage solutions for Micron’s Mobile Customers.
Role and responsibilities:
· Understand the LPDRAM state machine and develop the hardware models for DRAM features and the related validation test bench.
· Develop memory controller models, including request scheduling, address mapping… etc., to enable new DRAM features.
· Develop the automation test scripts using Python to improve the overall simulation methodologies.
· Develop new DRAM technology changes per the spec and the state machine and the validation test bench.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors/master’s degree in Electronics and/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field and familiar with Computer Architecture.
· Experience with C/C or Python, prefer both.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaboratively work with many varied teams.
· Proven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with SystemC/Gem5 or TLM frameworks is a plus.
· Experience with Power and Performance Analysis is a bonus.
· Familiar with debugging interfaces such as GDB, and PDB.
· Understanding of the Mobile SOC system and Android system is a plus.
· Understanding and experience in system Benchmarking and multimedia applications is a plus.
· Knowledge of DRAM memory controller architecture, including LPDDR protocols, is a plus.
