General Overview: Ensures the stable operation and protection of critical information, systems, and assets. Designs, builds, and implements new hardware and software solutions. Assists in the development of an overall IT strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and support new/existing servers.
- Install, maintain, and support new/existing software systems.
- Administer users, email, and other services within an Office 365 environment.
- Perform regular monitoring to verify the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of key systems.
- Perform and validate regular backup and disaster recovery operations.
- Perform regular review of processes/procedures including user administration, backups, disaster recovery, PC deployment, server deployment, application deployment, patching, and security.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted user base.
- Apply patches/upgrades to Operating Systems or other software services, as necessary.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
- Maintain datacenter environmental and monitoring equipment.
- Research, recommend, and implement new technology to meet the various needs of the business.
- Support phone system.
- Provide Tier III advanced technical and other support, as needed.
- Act as backup / on-site network support.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; continuing education.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Ensure compliance with corporate/plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience supporting a Microsoft environment locally and in the “cloud”
- Experience managing multiple IT projects simultaneously
- Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
- Strong problem solving and system troubleshooting skills
- Effective customer service and communication skills
- Position requires a BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position to include 2-4 years experience in a multi-server environment installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows-based computers and networks.
- MCSE, A Hardware/OS, and/or NCE certifications preferred.
- 2 years of virtualization infrastructure design, implementation and tuning experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- The requirements of a typical office setting apply to this position.
- Extended periods of sitting may be required.
- Requires the use of various types of office equipment.
- Noise levels will be typically low to moderate.
- Position requires lifting up to 20 pounds.
