Supply Chain Manager manages the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Being a Supply Chain Manager leads coordination activities with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Resolves bottlenecks or problem areas in the supply chain. Additionally, Supply Chain Manager monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Supply Chain Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Supply Chain Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Excellent Oral and Written Communication and Training Skills.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Strong team building and talent growth and development skills.
Understands and has ability to apply lean methodology and concepts into supply chain processes.
Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business, Supply Chain, or other related degree. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years supply chain or related experience including significant experience in a leadership role. (Commodity management and supplier development experience preferred).
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisor role leading and motivation personnel.
Minimum of 3 years ERP system experience.
Minimum 3 years of previous S&OP processes experience.
US Citizenship or permanent resident required.
Licenses, Certifications, etc.
ISM or APICS certification preferred.
CPM, CSM or CPSM preferred.
Aerospace or Electronic Component manufacturing experience desired.
