Supply Chain Director directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Being a Supply Chain Director negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing. Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements. Additionally, Supply Chain Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Supply Chain Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Supply Chain Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • JOB PURPOSE:

    Perform functions to lead the team that implements, supports, and maintains supply chain systems across all operations and divisions.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the flow of purchases/non purchased material to support production.
    • Lead material cost reduction savings.
    • Work with process owners and subject matter experts to define, build, test, and provide training on systemic solutions for various warehouse processes.
    • Plan future direction of supply chain management systems, both domestic and imports
    • Oversee a broad team to ensure system stability and performance.
    • Maintain strong professional relationships with vendors or suppliers through frequent interaction, clear communication, and well-defined expectations.
    • Collaborate with corporate and warehouse leadership on overall management of the distribution network.
    • Conduct meetings to discuss performance, progress, and improvement plans as well as update executive leadership on warehouse systems.
    • Troubleshoot problems/issues, develop, recommend, and initiate action steps that provide resolution to achieve positive results.
    • Implement a cross-training program to create a flexible workforce allowing coverage for all key functions throughout the year.
    • Aid in the development and implementation of process control improvements within the departments for cost savings and employee efficiencies.
    • Proactively support continuous improvement initiatives and activities.
    • Serve as a role model for workers in terms of work ethic, professional image, and conduct in full compliance with all work rules and policies.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Travel less than 25% of the time.

    SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participate in the full cycle of employment including participating in talent acquisition process and providing unbiased feedback focused on candidate qualifications through to end of employment activities, consistently considering alignment with company mission, vision, and values.
    • Provide an onboarding experience that allows employees to learn, develop, and acclimate to the company culture.
    • Utilize results against goals to identify continuous improvement opportunities and communicate.
    • Plan, establish, and communicate work schedules, assignments, and expectations to employees.
    • Listen and address employees’ concerns to resolve issues and lead a culture of respect, teamwork, and collaboration.
    • Continuously evaluate, document, and provide feedback to employees through coaching, counseling, motivating, disciplining, and conducting formal annual performance reviews.
    • Monitor and process employee attendance records/timecards and PTO in a timely manner.
    • Provide leadership to all department activities focused on maximizing teamwork and productivity, minimizing costs, and maintaining an elevated level of quality standards.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field

    Experience And/or Training:

    10 years of experience in systems implementation and support, distributions/warehouse management, logistics, or other relevant area which includes:

    • Effective distribution management leading catalog, .com, or high-volume enterprises
    • 5 years managing multi-site operations
    • Developing and maintaining vendor relationships
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
    • Management of personnel

    Licenses/Certificates:

    Technology/Equipment:Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Master’s degree in business, supply chain management, or another related field

    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

    Sitting for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention.

    Working Environment:

    Indoor working environment. Office is temperature-controlled all year round. Production may be hot in the Summer and temperature-controlled in the Winter. Moving machinery, i.e., forklifts, moveable carts, etc.; uneven ground where cart tracks are identified. Air quality may be dusty and potentially require additional PPE in certain areas. Sound level below 85 decibels except in areas specified as requiring hearing protection.
