As a part of the journey, they are looking to bring in a Supply Chain Leader to mature the Supply Chain organization.
The Supply Chain Leader is a key member of the operations team and is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of companies’ supply chain and inventory management operations, which includes Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, and Inventory Management. The Supply Chain Leader will lead the effort for alternate sourcing, material forecasting, supply agreement/contact negotiations, supply chain planning, and inventory management.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading supply chain teams in a manufacturing environment, and be proactive, detail oriented, agile, with a disposition towards continuous improvement. Organizational planning, employee development, and fostering a winning, inclusive, and can-do culture are important aspects and expectations of the Director of Supply Chain. Responsibilities include ensuring material planning and delivery support a 24/7/365 manufacturing operation, onsite inventory management of purchased items, ensuring company receives the best overall value (cost, lead-time, quality, and terms) for purchased items, and development of a robust and supply base (domestic and international) to mitigate risk and maximize flexibility.
