Human Resources announces an opening for the position of part-time (.5) Assistant Director of Student Activities, with Wakefield High School. This is a twelve-month position Grade E-6.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK
The Assistant Director of Student Activities at the high school is responsible for assisting the director of student activities in the development, coordination, and supervision of student activities, intramural and interscholastic athletics. This is a half-time twelve-month position. The Assistant Director of Student Activities may be required to carry out responsibilities during the student school day and at nighttime events, but generally will be expected to be on duty status at the end of the instructional day.
The Assistant Director of Student Activities at the high school receives direct supervision from the director of student activities and the building principal and in coordination with the Supervisor of Health, Physical Education and Athletics. The Assistant Director of Student Activities assists the director in supervising staff, equipment, and facilities associated with the student activities.

Completion of a college associate or bachelor’s degree program or be enrolled currently in a program leading to a degree with a concentration in recreation, athletic management, or similar program of studies plus experience in athletic coaching and/or program management or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the above noted knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Salary range of $64,942 to $106,441 annually based upon 23/24 pay plan.
