Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Location: Boston, MA

Position Overview: As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations and driving cost-effective procurement strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing opportunities, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support organizational objectives.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, pricing dynamics, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop sourcing plans that align with organizational goals.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline sourcing processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
