Manage the purchasing team and lead alliance relationships. Oversees the workflow and coordination of processes for purchasing. Provides leadership and direct supervision of purchasing staff. Maintains advanced knowledge of purchasing and procurement to support business practices. Develop best in class purchasing strategies and clear action plans to drive the lowest total cost of ownership and fuel exponential growth across the enterprise as we grow into a top quartile Supply Chain. Lead internal engagements across supply chain, engineering and business organizations while diving deep into emerging technologies and operations. Manage the analysis of market and spending trends involving the industry players to develop sourcing strategies to reduce costs, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities allowing the company to continue to grow.
Pay Range: $100,650 - $166,050 / Grade 18 (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Essential Functions:
* Interpret and provide guidance on purchase order terms and conditions to buyers and customers.
* Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, service delivery models and policies in ways that are mutually helpful and sustainable for both organizations by leveraging the growth of the company's spend.
* Lead negotiations and implementation of purchase orders by working with cross-functional partners and suppliers to reach agreement on terms and conditions.
* Analyze and determine cost reduction opportunities by leveraging volumes, optimizing the supplier base and reducing total cost of ownership.
* Analysis and understanding of data to build accurate forecasting. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and internal metrics for implementing projects and sourcing plans.
* Lead team of buyers responsible for the sourcing and procurement of all sourceable goods and services for the company.
* Develop and implement strategic sourcing and supplier management processes across businesses and geographies.
* Identify, manage and develop key industry relationships and alliances.
* Implement and handle the company's supplier metrics with dashboards and associated action plans to ensure high service levels are maintained.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over 4 purchasing team members.

What You'll Need:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong data driven decision making skills to drive and develop KPI's (Key Performance Indicators).
* High-energy self-starter with ability to work in a multifaceted utility while building relationship and influencing decisions to support the company.
What Is Desired Or Can Be Taught:
* 5 or more years Strategic sourcing/contracts, commodity/category management, contract negotiation or purchasing experience
* Advanced understanding of category management, purchasing techniques and strategic sourcing methodology and approaches.
* Strong knowledge of contracting, effective negotiating and supply market analysis.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills while developing creative solutions to business problems.
* Goal and target date oriented while effectively leading a team.
* Strong project management skills and customer service skills.
* Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project.
* Consistent record in developing sourcing plans, leading sourcing analysis and managing to results.
