IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire a Staff Liaison Standards Development. This role manages standards development activities for sustainability and environmental concerns.

Work with technical advisory groups on IPC initiatives and assist in scoping projects with strategic focus. Work with committee volunteers and subject matter experts to develop industry standards utilizing approved procedures, white papers and other documentation and make recommendations for new publications and projects.

Activities include conducting standards development work from concept to publication, interfacing with committee members and leaders, working with committee leaders, updating documentation based on committee input, preparing documentation for publication and recommend changes as needed for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the standard development projects for sustainability and environmental concerns while working with advisory groups on IPC initiatives to scope projects with strategic focus.
• Provide technical support and communication to IPC Members and IPC Staff regarding standards and related documentation.
• Manage online technical committee resource tools, including committee pages in standard development site,
• Collaborate with suppliers in the development of software tools used in conjunction with standards.
• Participate in development of related materials to supplement standards such as trade magazine articles regarding standards and technology and webpages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, science, or engineering.
• 7 years of work experience in electronics or related field; 5 years of project management related experience preferred.

Strong skills in record-keeping for traceability and organization are a must along with good judgment and professional integrity.

• Must have knowledge about sustainability.
• This position requires an ongoing interface with global subject matter experts and staff members.
• Strong writing, editing, organizational and communication skills, especially around technical content.
• Ability to work with and act as a liaison of diverse groups.
• Experience building consensus and working in a committee environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom.
