Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics provides professional nursing care to assigned pediatric patients. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops pediatric patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics assists physicians during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Will assist with patient care and support for providers to deliver quality healthcare to our pediatric patients. Duties include escorting patients, documenting chief complaint and reason for visits, taking patient history, performing lab work, administer immunizations and vaccines when ordered by providers, performing vital signs and obtaining measurements necessary for physicals, checking immunization status and other clinical duties. Requires a current NC RN, LPN or Certified Medical Assistant licensure and CPR certification. Must be willing to work some weekends on a rotating schedule. Position has the option to be a 4 or 5 day work week. If 4 day work week, day off is based on the needs of the clinic. EOE.
