Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology jobs in Missouri
Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology provides professional nursing care to assigned oncology patients. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications including chemotherapy, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology assists oncologists during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology teaches patients and families about conditions and treatment options. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require ONS/ONCC certification to deliver chemotherapy. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Location: Missouri
Position: RN Intermediate Unit/Cardiac
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the total care and treatment of patients with acute pulmonary, medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions.
- Performing Airway Management
Providing Ventilator support for patients unable to breathe on their own. - Inserting and maintaining ventral IV lines and chest tubes.
- Stabilizing and titrating medicated IV infusions.
- Utilizing Cardiac telemetry to monitor patient heart function.
- Documenting detailed records of patient vital signs and treatment responses.
- Recommending treatment options to attending physician
Certifications - Required
- AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certificate
Education - Required
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
Experience - Required
- 1 - 2 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line
Licenses - Required
- Registered Nurse State of Missouri
