Speech and Language Pathologist jobs in Colorado

Speech and Language Pathologist assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Speech and Language Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     This is an incredible opportunity to join the LEAP Speech family and become part of a fast-growing private practice dedicated to serving the pediatric population in Colorado Springs. At Leap Speech Therapy, we place our patients at the forefront and foster a professional environment where their needs are paramount.

    In this role, you'll work with toddlers and children in a preschool setting to help them develop vital communication skills that they can utilize in all aspects of their lives. You'll have the flexibility with the option to work 4 days per week, and we're open to negotiating days and times that suit your schedule.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide speech and language screenings
    • Complete comprehensive evaluations
    • Develop and administer therapy plans of care
    • Complete daily session notes
    • Provide speech and language therapy to the pediatric population
    • Participate in company meetings
    • In person therapy and complete paperwork at home

    Requirements

    • Master of Arts or Science in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
    • ASHA certified or in CFY
    • Colorado state license or eligible to obtain.
    • Reliable, insured vehicle
    • Self-starter with a passion for speech therapy, enjoys working with children
