Additionally, in recent years, we have expanded our product range to help our customers reduce the emissions of their vessels and comply with legal requirements.

    Located directly in the heart of Flensburg, we work with around 70 people in a renovated factory building. Of course, you can also work flexibly from home three days a week or whenever necessary. In certain cases, full remote work is also possible. 

    Do you want to extend your stay at your holiday destination? Do you have relatives or friends abroad and would like to work from there for a while? No problem! With us, you can plan a workcation twice a year for a maximum of four weeks. You just need to bring your laptop and ensure internet connectivity.

    What to expect in your role as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer? 

    Kaleris is seeking Software Quality Assurance  Engineer to join our talented QA team. In this position, you will have an opportunity to ensure and improve the quality of our next generation cloud services, focused on vessel management and fleet performance.  

    You’ll write and execute test cases for manual and automated tests for our cloud and on-premise solutions. Furthermore, you will challenge the developers and architects and help build high quality and efficient solutions for our products. 

    Primary Responsibilities 

    • Work in an agile environment, closely together in a cross-functional team to improve the overall product quality. 
    • Understand business requirements to create and execute detailed test cases for our applications. 
    • Perform exploratory and step-based test cases for acceptance and regression testing. 
    • Report test observations and communicate results with the team. 
    • Engage in creating test automation for our applications. 

    What do you ideally bring to the table? 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, / Software Engineering, / Business, or related area preferred 
    • Understanding of the overall software development process, phases, and deliverables 
    • Ability to understand user needs and share a quality-oriented mindset. 
    • First knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques. 
    • Independent and self-reliant work as well as a pronounced ability to work in a team. 
    • You're highly motivated to tackle challenges, continuously learn, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environment. 
    • English language proficiency, both spoken and written, is a must-have in our globally connected teams. Plus, you feel comfortable in German too. 

    Optional Qualifications: 

    • Experience in test automation, e.g. with Selenium 
    • Experience in SDLC tools, e.g. with Azure DevOps 
    • Experience in software development and tools like e.g. Git, programming languages 
    • Quality assurance / Testing certification (such as ISTQB or CSTE) or professional experience in software testing desirable

    Direkt im Herzen Flensburgs gelegen, arbeiten wir mit ca. 70 Personen in einem umgebauten und denkmalgeschützten Fabrikgebäude. Selbstverständlich kannst Du auch flexibel von zu Hause arbeiten an drei Tagen pro Woche oder wann immer es nötig sein sollte. In bestimmten Fällen ist auch Full-Remote möglich.  

    Du willst Deinen Aufenthalt an Deinem Urlaubsort verlängern? Hast Du Angehörige oder Freunde im Ausland und würdest gerne eine Zeit lang von dort arbeiten? Kein Problem! Bei uns kannst Du zweimal pro Jahr für maximal vier Wochen eine Workcation einplanen. Du musst nur das Notebook mitnehmen.  

    In Flensburg kann man ohne Probleme mit dem Fahrrad zur Arbeit kommen. Das hält fit und schont die Umwelt. Du hast kein Fahrrad? Wir helfen Dir mit einem JobRad. Du wohnst doch zu weit weg?     Was erwartet Dich in Deiner Rolle als Software Quality Assurance Engineer?  

    Als Software Quality Assurance Engineer verstärkst du unser QA Team. Die Position bietet Dir die Möglichkeit, die Qualität unserer Cloud-Dienste mit Schwerpunkt auf Vessel Management und Fleet Performance sicherzustellen und zu verbessern.   

    Du erstellst und betreust unsere Test (manuell und Automation) für unsere webbasierten SaaS-Cloud-Lösungen durch. Darüber hinaus forderst du Entwickler und Software-Architekten heraus und hilfst ihnen, gute und effiziente Lösungen für unsere Produkte zu entwickeln.  

     Hauptaufgaben  

    • Du arbeitest in einem agilen Umfeld eng mit den Kolleg*Innen in einem funktionsübergreifenden Team zusammen um die Qualität unserer Software Produkte zu verbessern. 
    • Mit Hilfe der Software Anforderungen erstellst du geeignete Testfälle und führst diese eigenverantwortlich aus. Zusätzlich wendest du exploratives Testen als ergänzende Methode an. 
    • Du unterstützt dein Test Team während des Regressionstests.  
    • Deine Beobachtungen und Test Reports teilst und kommunizierst du mit deinem Produkt Team 
    • Außerdem unterstützt du aktiv bei der Erstellung, Erweiterung und Pflege unserer Testautomation.  

    Was bringst du idealerweise mit?  

    • Einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Informatik, Wirtschaftswissenschaften oder einem ähnlichen Fachgebiet 
    • Du verfügst über ein grundlegendes Verständnis des Softwarlebenszyklus  
    • Du besitzt die Fähigkeit, Nutzerbedürfnisse zu verstehen und überzeugst dein Team von deinem Qualitätsbewusstsein.  
    • Idealerweise konntest schon erste Erfahrungen im Bereich Software Testing machen. 
    • Selbstständiges und eigenverantwortliches Arbeiten sowie eine enge Zusammenarbeit im Team sind für Dich selbstverständlich.  
    • Du bist hochmotiviert, Herausforderungen anzunehmen, dabei kontinuierlich zu lernen und hast die Fähigkeit in einem schnellen, testgetriebenen, kollaborativen und iterativen Programmierumfeld zu arbeiten..  
    • Verhandlungssicheres Englisch in Wort und Schrift sind in unseren weltweit vernetzen Teams ein Must-have.  

    Optionale Qualifikationen:  

    • Erfahrung in der Automatisierung von Testtfällen, z.B. mit Selenium  
    • Erfahrung mit SDLC-Tools, z.B. mit Azure DevOps
