Position Description
The main responsibility of
the Slot Technician is to maintain and repair all electronic slot equipment in
a timely and efficient manner. Additional duties include the maintenance and
repair of select equipment for the Finance and Table Games
operations. Slot Technicians are also responsible for all installs, moves,
removes, and modifications of all related stands, signage and machines. Slot Technicians need to coordinate with the Slot
Operations staff to ensure maximum operating efficiency and they are to promote
the company’s goals and values. This position requires performing the job
duties throughout the SGC properties as needed. Traveling between or reporting to the other properties is a requirement
for this position. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s
policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and the
Departments policies and procedures. Each
position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be
waived.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment. 2. High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. 3. Must be knowledgeable in Electronic theory and have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Slot Technician in a licensed jurisdiction or have a minimum of two years’ experience in Electronics or closely related field. 4. Candidate must complete the internal testing and evaluation process of the approved SGC Slot Technical training program. 5. Exhibits superior communication skills and training skills with the ability to learn on their own. 6. Working knowledge of computer software applications and practical usage. 7. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions with regard to monetary units and compute slot machines percentages. Language Skills and Reasoning Ability: 1. Must possess excellent communication skills. 2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers. 3. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. 4. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
