Shipping and Receiving Supervisor jobs in Delaware
Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. - Pack items in boxes and select best carrier.
- Process equipment returns and warranty repairs.
- Contact customers with order delays.
Qualifications and Skills:- Shipping and receiving experience in a technical office environment.
- Exhibit written communications skills.
- General knowledge of Windows computer applications.
- Self-starter who can multi-task, enjoys communicating, and building customer relationships.
- Ability to work with deadlines.
- Can handle fast-paced environment with interruptions.
- Valid driver license.
Job Type: Full-time.Salary: Hourly.
