Sheetmetal Mechanic jobs in Wyoming
Sheetmetal Mechanic sets up and operates machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter sheetmetal according to specifications. Follows blueprints, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape metal accurately. Being a Sheetmetal Mechanic uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams. May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment. Additionally, Sheetmetal Mechanic typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Sheetmetal Apprenticeship. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Sheetmetal Mechanic works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Duties Include But Are Not Limited To- Heavy and light duty experience with the ability to work on brakes and suspensions, clutches and drive trains, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, diesel emissions and drivability diagnosis.
- Desire to travel throughout the region if necessary.
- Focusing on timely, accurate, and cost-effective repairs.
- Ability to use a wide variety of tool.
- Minimum of a Class B CDL required
- Own your own tools with a monthly tool allowance provided (specially shop provided)
- Clean MVR Record (must be insurable)
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7am-5pm.
