Security Manager implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Manager trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Manager participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary:
    The General Manager directs and coordinates activities of industrial organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the duties personally or through subordinate supervisors; coach, council and train the Operations force to improve individual skills. Event and/or stadium experience is required.

    Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 / year

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Manages, oversees and coordinates all aspects of operations activities including, but not limited to: operations planning, qualifying potential business, operational review of events and profitability. Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction on all installed accounts.
    • Develops and implements operations strategies that improve execution and provide additional value in a cost-effective manner
    • Effectively communicates goals to the operations team and communicate with the wider organization and maintains accurate and up to date records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
    • Overall responsibility for execution of contracts – estimated cost vs. actual cost; review of contracts; supervision of labor and subcontractors; planning and scheduling contracts, preparation of invoices, and collections
    • Proactively communicates with and seeks feedback from all customers. Seeks to continuously improve customer satisfaction; meets with customers on a regular basis to ensure we are meeting their needs
    • Proactively communicates with and seeks feedback from all staff. Seeks to continuously improve performance and efficiencies.
    • Supervises and coaches colleagues in a manner that maintains morale, skills proficiency and productivity. Managerial responsibilities include but are not limited to: mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues; planning, assigning and directing work. Recruit and train team members as required by business needs
    • Up to 25% travel required
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Excellent management skills
    • Customer Focus – Maintaining awareness and seeking to meet the needs and wants of the internal and external customers
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
    • Leadership Orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the Operations Department; Strong team leadership, team building and facilitation skills
    • Initiative – Engages in proactive behavior and looks for new project opportunities
    • Adaptability – Responds effectively to changes in situation or information
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of three years of previous operations, service or field or project management experience
    • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: event staffing, security, sports management, athletics
    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Three to five years experience in professional sporting or event arenas- preferably MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL

    Physical and Mental Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, it is required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. On occasion, it may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. Position may also require work in confined spaces and exposure to different types of outdoor weather conditions.
    Must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
