Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Securitas Inc. is looking for full time, armed court security officers in Burlington, VT with occasional coverage in Barre, VT. Qualified applicants must be able to pass eligibility requirements and drug screening, as well as obtain a VT State Security Officer License, and complete a Protective Services Report test. Experienced former law enforcement officers, military veterans and/or previous armed experience is necessary. Current armed qualifications and VT state guard license are a huge plus.
Shifts are currently Monday through Friday during the day.
