Security Guard - Armed jobs in Arizona
Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are currently seeking to fill a Temporary, Part Time, Armed Guard position. The schedule will be Saturday and Sunday, from 12:00 to 20:00 hrs. The last weekend worked will be the last weekend in September. Position may lead to Full time work
The starting wage will be in the range of $22 to $23 per hour, commensurate with experience. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a smartphone. While uniforms will be provided, guards are responsible for supplying their own safety equipment. We may offer assistance based on individual needs.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid armed guard license
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must pass a background check and drug screeningNote: This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
