The MCA is hiring and innovative and collaborative individual to work with the Build Montana Director to recruit adults to the construction workforce. Our team member will organize/promote adult training programs for MCA members, stay abreast of industry trends and anticipate current and future training and education needs of member companies. Will serve as primary staff liaison for the Concrete Division.
Essential Duties
1. Workforce Development
· Work with MCA team members to create innovative programs that recruit more individuals to the construction industry.
· Work with Build Montana program to grow, not duplicate, current efforts. The emphasis will be on adults and new-career individuals.
· Ensure the MCA remains in good standing with NCCER.
· Connect with
i. post-secondary education programs, colleges, apprenticeship programs
ii. Veterans
iii. Corrections facilities
· Form relationship with student AGC chapters.
· Create networking opportunities for young MCA members.
· Research and apply for grants and funding sources for workforce development.
2. Concrete Division
· Schedule all ACI-related courses.
· Serve as member of the ACI Committee to schedule and distribute training and educational materials to local contractors and program participants.
3. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program
· Work with contractor to schedule all SWPPP-related classes.
4. Member Education/Training Services
· Research and respond to membership questions in a timely manner, including but not limited to questions regarding MSHA, OSHA, DOT, DEQ.
· Maintain frequent and continued interaction with various state, federal, and private entities regarding rule making and interpretation of safety regulations.
· Initiate, develop, implement, and conduct seminars, workshops, safety meetings and related mailings for members.
· Work closely with MCA members, associates and affiliates, and outside organizations to identify appropriate topics and to ensure maximum participation from MCA members.
Individual will assist other team members with major membership events and convention
Job type: Full time, salary exempt. Excellent health and retirement benefits, bonus potential. Travel required. Salary range $60,000-$75,000 DOQ. Remote or hybrid options possible. Must be centrally-Montana located.
