    EXPERIENCE CALLING ON RETAIL CLIENTS WILL BE ADVANTAGEOUS.

    THE POSITION:
    The Territory Manager will manage sales representatives that are assigned to their geographical region and who are responsible for the daily sales operations in the territory. Sales Representatives call on DIY Retailers, Home Centers, Hardware Stores, and Lumber Yards detailing tools, equipment and parts manufactured by their parent company, a national firm and category leader in the building materials industry. In addition, the Territory Manager is responsible for developing new accounts and expanding business within existing accounts, training sales representatives, developing effective sales strategies, and ensuring that sales quotas are met. This key position must be a strong communicator, manage their time efficiently, possess strong organizational skills, and above all, be an enthusiastic team player.

    TERRITORY COVERED:
    Mid-Atlantic area including the eastern half of Pennsylvania, all of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and the southern half of New Jersey.

    Given the geographical span of the territory, living in the Greater Washington / Baltimore area between Washington and Baltimore, or, the Greater Philadelphia area would be best.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Train, motivate, and guide sales representatives within your assigned territory.

    Be on the road every day and follow through with scheduled appointments within the assigned territory.

    Work from home with whatever small office type setting you’ll have at home; work out of a Ford F-150 truck.

    You will likely have to do 5 to 6 overnights each month to cover the territory.

    Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all Company employees.

    Research and design successful sales strategies tailored to the assigned territory, increasing sales.

    Analyze sales and marketing data to determine the most effective sales and marketing techniques.

    Motivate sales representatives to achieve sales quotas while regularly evaluating their performance.

    Monitor competitors’ sales activity within an assigned territory.

    Meet with current and prospective customers about Company products and services.

    Perform other tasks as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelors degree in marketing, Business Administration, or another similar field.

    You must be outgoing, friendly and motivated and want to work in outside sales.

    You have 5 to 10 years of work experience as a Territory Sales Manager (B2B) preferably in a high-volume environment.

    A service / hands-on / technical background will be very helpful. Some mechanical aptitude will be useful.

    A building supplies / building materials background will be an advantage.

    Any type of construction, contractor, building products or roofing background can be a plus.

    Strong communication skills and attention to detail are important.

    Excellent driving record. No DUI (because you are drive a company vehicle).

    Other characteristics seen as an advantage are participation in high school or college sports as it correlates with team building and competitiveness, and being assertive in terms of sales style versus laid-back.

    Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management software such as Sales Force will be an advantage.

    Ability to plan, organize, assign, prioritize, evaluate, and supervise the work of a team.

    Build and maintain both internal and external relationships.

    Achieve targeted performance KPIs.

    Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

    Overnight hotel travel required 4-8 nights per month, with some after-hours required to meet customer demands. Occasional weekend events are also required (1-2 per year).

    Positive can-do attitude.

    COMPENSATION:
    Base salary commensurate with experience , plus commission plus bonus yields a very competitive package.

    A company vehicle is provided and all related expenses are covered.

    $200 cell phone allowance per month.
