Sales Director directs sales organization operations and develops the tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Director oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Implements methods and systems to effectively analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, and competitors and expand the customer base. Additionally, Sales Director uses market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and development programs. May personally participate in or negotiate strategic or high-value sales. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Sales Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Sales Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • The Director | Accounting at ASG is responsible for the supervision of managers and the business oversight of an assigned region or discipline.  This position will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for clients, facilitating customer communication during the lifecycle of projects and other day-to-day activities of the organization, and ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively.

    Pay Scale: $100,000 - $115,000 / year

    What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):  

    • Responsible for the preparation and accuracy of the financial statements for ASG and all of its related companies
    • Review Revenue and direct costs to determine estimates and accruals for company disciplines are valid for completed and in-progress jobs.
    • Provide explanations of fluctuations in p&l; prepare & review balance sheet analyses
    • Maintain and execute a variety of financial procedures and controls including cash management, month-end, and year-end closings for the company
    • Oversee annual bank audit and financial audit;  
    • Oversee yearly budgets for ASG and other entities
    • Responsible for providing guidance and reviewing staff’s work
    • Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency
    • Prepare and review journal entries in general ledger
    • Review sales tax by state to ensure company is in compliance with state regulations
    • Review payroll sales tax correspondence and ensure amounts are proper and accurate
    • Ad hoc projects for VP and CFO


    What you’ll need:  

    General 

    • Bachelor’s in Accounting, related field, with 10 years of experience
    • Managerial experience 2 years
    • Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with others
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

     

    Desired 

    • Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus
    • Tax experience is a plus
    • CPA is a plus
