Monitors internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks to continuously maintain maximum protection of an organization's assets. Additionally, Risk Analyst supports managers in risk management or risk model construction. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Risk Analyst work is closely managed.     The Risk Analyst analyzes insurance processes and activities ensuring accuracy of information, adherence to corporate policies and risk management best practices. Assists with the collection, collation and preparation of data and information needed for the acquisition or renewal of the corporation's insurance policies. Policies include Financial Professional Liability and Property Casualty, Building, Travel Accident & FINRA Bonds.

    Essential Functions for this role include:

    • Assist with the acquisition or renewal of the corporation’s annual Financial Professional Liability and Property Casualty, Building, Travel Accident & FINRA Policies (i.e., policy applications, policy binder review, and premium payments).
    • Process certificates of insurance requests from key stakeholders.
    • Assist in the review and evaluation of insurance-related language and requirements for pending RFP’s and contracts with new or existing client’s, vendors, custodians, financial institutions, consultants, etc.
    • Assist in third party vendor monitoring process including vendor due diligence, financial soundness analysis, and vendor attestation report reviews (e.g., SOC1 & SOC2).
    • Supports the process for monitoring compliance with the corporation’s policies regarding certificates of insurance and proof of coverage and ensure documentation requirements are met.
    • Maintain detailed record keeping and status reporting and assist with other necessary matters related to insurance.
    • Coordinate and keep track of renewal and/or maintenance of state specific insurance requirements.
    • Contribute to MissionSquare Retirement’s overall risk management effort.

     

    If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:

    • BA/BS or equivalent experience
    • One to three years of experience 
    • Insurance purchasing and renewal experience combined with risk management credentials preferably in the financial services sector. Preferably 3 or more year of insurance marketplace experience.

    • Risk and/or insurance-related certifications preferred (e.g., CISR, ARM, CPCU, RPLU, CRM, CIC, RIMS-CRMP)

    • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of various insurance coverage types (e.g., D&O, Side A, E&O, Bond, Fiduciary, EPLI, Cyber, etc.)
    • Ability to identify and manage risk
    • Insurance policy renewal experience (i.e., application process, binder review)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Organized, motivated, self-starter
    • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Ability to interface with and work effectively with insurance broker and internal departments
    • Strong presentation design and development
