Right of Way Manager jobs in Illinois
Right of Way Manager oversees the organization's operations and activities regarding the need for additional land or office space. Researches, negotiates and elects to purchase short- and long-term lease of land agreements and right of way for construction that meet the organization's goals. Being a Right of Way Manager oversees all land related legal issues, including transfers of titles and deeds, construction, mortgage concerns, and zoning. Makes resolutions and other legal forms related to land acquisitions. Additionally, Right of Way Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Right of Way Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. We are currently searching for an experienced Right of Way (Gas) Project Manager to support ourMidwest Regionlocated in St, Louis, MO and Collinsville, IL.
What You’ll Be Doing- Supervises the activity of Agents acquiring land, easements, and other rights for our utility clients- primarily gas and electric transmission
- Supervise document preparation
- Reports directly to client- generating regular status and predictive reporting, frequent direct communication to assure timely completion of projects while staying within budget, high level of accountability
- Successful candidate possesses significant Right of Way experience, both as Agent and Supervisor, superior communications skills, and an ability to foster a strong working relationship with the client
- Significant Right of Way experience, both as Agent and Supervisor
- Preference for Right of Way experience in gas
- Superior communication skills
- Ability to foster a strong working relationship with the client
- Previous experience managing employees is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent analytical skills
- IRWA RW, RWA, or SRWA certification is a plus
- Able to use scheduling software
- Experience with forecasting and projections
- Review engineering drawings
- Possesses ability to effectively serve in both leadership and support roles on project teams
- Ability to listen to the client and translate into solutions that meet or exceed expectations
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Understand and execute oral and written instructions
- Exhibit high-level self-management skills
- Perform efficiently and accurately while working on multiple projects
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, including attention to detail
