The Yakutat Tlingit Tribe (YTT) is dedicated to improving the well-being of its members through sustainable housing projects. We are seeking specialized grant writing assistance to apply for the HUD Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) grant. This grant will support the development of affordable housing by constructing five 3-bedroom HUD-standard manufactured homes.
WHO WE ARE
The Yakutat Tlingit Tribe (YTT) is a federally recognized tribe committed to preserving and protecting the culture and land of the Yakutat Tlingit People. The YTT operates a robust tribal government organization overseeing housing, roads, environmental programs, cultural programs, and the Yakutat Health Clinic, among other services. Yakutat Tlingit Tribe has over 800 Tribal Members enrolled and works in close partnership with the City and Borough of Yakutat.
PROJECT SCOPE
Housing Development:
The Tribe is looking to apply for a PRICE Grant to develop five single-wide manufactured homes. Grant writing services are required to support the entire grant application process, including research, writing, and submission. The detailed proposal for this project includes:

This project aims to secure $600k for the development of five 3-bedroom HUD-standard manufactured homes to provide affordable, high-quality housing within the community. The project will be executed in five phases: land acquisition and subdivision, land clearing, site development, foundation development, and home placement including utility hookups.

- Addressing the growing need for affordable housing by constructing HUD-standard manufactured homes.

Proposals should be submitted in PDF format via email and should not exceed 15 pages, excluding attachments. Attachments should be submitted in a separate PDF limited to 10 pages and include:

- Firm Rate Sheet or Budget.
- Any other relevant documents.
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Experience with similar projects, working with Native American/Alaska Native tribes, and grant writing success rates.
- Project approach, timeline, staff capacity, identification of funding sources.
- Yakutat Tlingit Tribal member, Native American/Alaska Native, minority, woman-owned entity.
CONTRACT AWARD:
YTT reserves the right to award by item, group of items, total proposal, or any combination in the best interest of the Tribe. The selected proposer will be notified via email. The YTT will negotiate a contract with the most qualified firm at a fair and reasonable price. If a satisfactory contract cannot be negotiated, the YTT will select another firm until an agreement is reached or the process is terminated.
