Turn-About Ranch is seeking to Ranch Residential Coach position in Escalante, Utah. Turn-About Ranch is a Residential Treatment Facility for youth ages 12-17. This is an opportunity to be involved in a program that facilitates real change in young people, while working on a real cattle ranch! Located between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks, and in the heart of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, the ranch is in a remote and spectacular part of the country.
This position requires the ability to ensure the safety of the students, staff, and facilities. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, ability to connect with and mentor students, and manage the needs of the students. They must be able to provide supervision, leadership, and help instill values in students. They must adhere to policies, and be capable of maintaining order, demonstrate good judgement and respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies.
A good candidate will have a love for the natural environment, as well as life skills they can teach students. They will need to help students learn skills such as planning, organizing, accomplishing chores and the other necessary work around the ranch.
This position is full-time and includes PTO, a health insurance stipend, and group dental/vision plans. The position is not limited to the duties listed above, other functions may be assigned as needed.
