Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Oversees the maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of rooms and summer housing, and housekeeping functions. Being a Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) is responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) room and board in the residence hall is included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res. Hall Manager (Incl. - Take charge of building sales, managing inventory, managing labor, scheduling shifts, cash management, and logging maintenance issues.
- Lead out in ensuring that the mission, vision and core values are followed.
- Spend time on coaching, training, providing corrective action, assessing, and actively leading all store teams. Acts as a CSR, cook, or any position when needed. You'll be a Jack of all trades!
- Make sure that new hire and existing employee paperwork is complete and up to snuff.
- Check Team member systems updates and changes.
- Blaze a trail for career development for your team members. Turn them into future leaders!
- Follow presentation standards and make sure your store is spick and span.
- Guarantee that the current promo period, displays, and planograms are followed.
- Deliver the best food in town by following the food playbook.
- Be the best of pals with our friends and fix any issues they have.
- Ensure company safety standards are followed and promoted. Train all employees on emergency situations such as spills, stoppage of pumps or other critical safety activities.
- Promise that EPA compliance and documentation are taken care of.
- Be a neighbor in the community.
- Cover additional shifts if unable to coordinate coverage with team.
- You'll spend most of you time in a retail store!
- Frequent work around fuel and fuel pumps, around moving vehicles, in parking lots, and on outside grounds.
- May work in hot or cold environments.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to move freely around work location (inside and outside).
- Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, bend, and stoop.
- Able to push or pull equipment and items.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. (About 75 bananas)
- About 5-10% of the time
- You've led people in retail or other settings before
- Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.
- Able to effectively multitask.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Excellent leadership skills and able to motivate team.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Two or more years’ experience in retail or other settings
- One or more years’ experience in retail leadership
- Experience with Point of Sale, Accounting, and Time Collection systems.
