Director of Religious Education
St. Cletus Catholic Church is looking for a Director of Religious Education for the parish. This is a part-time position that reports to the pastor. The DRE is responsible for the Parish School of Religion CCD program, sacramental prep for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation, and parish outreach related to Religious Education. This position requires leadership and organizational skills and the abilities to lead prayer, recruit volunteers, and communicate with children, teens, and parents. Salary is negotiable.
Job Description:
•Average of 10 hours a week,
•Work from home is permitted, except when events require presence at the parish,
•Will need to have a degree in theology or certification as a Catechist, or be actively working towards it,
•Criminal background check and safe environment training is required.
Responsibilities:
•Coordinate the Parish School of Religion CCD program for kindergarten-8th grade, which is held on Sundays at 10 AM,
•Coordinate with the Westbank High School of Religion for 9th-12th grades,
•Coordinate sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation,
•Help with the liturgies for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation,
•Help coordinate the parish RCIA program,
•And outreach to parish families concerning the above.
