Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide mentorship and education to nursing staff to enhance professional development.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of nursing personnel.
- Ensure the highest standards of resident care and satisfaction.
- On Call Rotation
Qualifications:
- Valid RN (for ADON) or LPN (for RCC) license in Illinois].
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within a long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
