Description
Incumbent is responsible for coordinating with academic departments the policies and procedures involved in graduation clearance. Directly supervises the personnel and procedures, within the Registrar's Office, concerning academic requirements for graduation, the issuing, ordering and mailing of diplomas and maintenance of the student database with graduation information. Gives advice and counsel to the Registrar, by extension to the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and other faculty, when specific transfer credit decisions are made by faculty committees, new determinations of non-traditional credit awards are considered, and when determinations are made concerning the acceptability of credit from international institutions of education. Directly applies the general transfer policies, as established by the faculty of the University, to specific students' academic record. Maintains the database with course equivalencies, course transfers and the degree audit module of the student information system. Processes undergraduate files from the international campuses and those with international transfer of credit. Supervises personnel responsible for graduate transfer credit, program changes and waived courses, diplomas, registration, grading, demographic data.
