Recruiting Supervisor supervises the activities of the employment department. Oversees a company's recruiting programs, policies, and procedures to develop and utilize various sources of potential applicants to fulfill staffing needs. Being a Recruiting Supervisor reviews and approves content and placement of job postings in newspapers, magazines, trade or professional journals, or online media. Maintains relationships with and visits high schools, trade schools, colleges, job fairs, and related venues as part of recruiting efforts. Additionally, Recruiting Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Job Summary :
We are seeking a Recruiting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and placing workers.
The Employment Specialist will also provide guidance to job seekers and employers regarding employment opportunities and workforce trends.
Duties :
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates
- Conduct interviews and assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and ensure a positive candidate experience
- Utilize various recruitment platforms
- Provide support in training development and customized orientations for new hires
- Utilize social media management tools to enhance recruitment efforts
- Support human resources functions as needed
Qualifications :
- College coursework in Human Resources or related field preferred or relevant job experience
- Proven work experience as an Employment Specialist or similar role
- Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Strong understanding of techniques in recruitment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
