ROLE SUMMARY : The role of the Onboarding, Retention and Recruiting Specialist position is to ensure the new employee is onboarded successfully, and the process is a positive experience.
This individual will work closely with the Rolling Asset / Dedicated Fleet Manager, Dispatchers, and Terminal personnel.
The individual will train new Drivers, Warehouse personnel, and Dispatchers on proper paperwork procedures, electronic entries in Samsara and CLI, and create Driver Qualification files.
This individual will also assist with social media posts and use their experience to help improve procedures and policies.
This position requires discretion and independent judgement and requires much one-on-one interaction. Through this interaction, this individual will need to determine how to react to the different personalities and learning styles of the new employee, to ensure the new employee is successfully onboarded.
This is a crucial element to the success of the employee, as well as the company.
