Recruiting Director plans, develops, and directs processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sourcing methods. Develops and enhances and organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Director executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, Recruiting Director maintains relationships with schools, advertisement, and recruitment agencies. Oversees the recruitment for senior level and executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Recruiting Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Recruiting Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     • Master's degree in education, student personnel services, or a related field is required.
    • Admissions, recruiting, and /or student service experience is preferred. 
    • Marketing, sales, and strong communication skills are a plus. 
    • Previous experience with customer service operations is desired.
    • Represent Northwestern State University to the public community throughout Louisiana and across the nation
    • Develops and coordinates recruitment activities
    • Works to recruit prospective students Including conducting presentations to various groups/organizations
    • Works on the development of specialized recruitment plans for all populations
    • Counsels students through the admissions and enrollment processes
    • Organizes Counselor luncheons through the state of Louisiana
    • Organizes Alumni recruiting Receptions across the state and out of state
    • Designs and Implements communications plan for all prospective students
    • Establishes and maintains contact with the business, educational and general community sectors to discuss and outline proper planning and procedures as they relate to recruitment, retention, and workforce development
    • Prepares related reports to measure progress toward goals and the effectiveness of recruiting strategies
    • Participation in University activities to promote recruitment and retention of students
    • All other duties as assigned by supervisor
