As a Senior Radiology Technician Heart and Vascular, you will work within the Heart Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Electrophysiology Lab. You will be responsible for performing procedures, properly operating equipment, and recording results in a timely manner. your primary duties will include:
• Preparing patients for diagnostic procedures including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.
• Performing exams as directed to ensure appropriate views of anatomy are taken for an accurate diagnosis.
• Conversing with patients prior and after exams to make sure they are comfortable and understand procedures.
• Operating and maintains radiology equipment used for procedures.
The Ideal caregiver is someone who:
• Can work well in a team-building environment.
• Has strong multitasking and time management skills.
• Has strong critical thinking skills.
• Can adapt to frequently changing situations and make complex decisions.
• Has a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate and is certified as a Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (ARRT).
A caregiver in this position will have access to professional development within the team, including the opportunity to learn to scrub in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) once the physicians feel the employee is ready. There is also an opportunity to take a certification called RCIS.
