Quality Control Analyst performs various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. Conducts and validates various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays. Being a Quality Control Analyst compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations. May be responsible for establishing specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Quality Control Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. - Ingredion is hiring for a QC Analyst based out of the North Kansas City site. This role will be responsible for performing analytical tests independently and accurately as written in test procedures. In addition, this position will fulfill customer sample order requests per current procedures. Shift TBD: 12 hrs. (7am – 7pm or 7pm – 7am) Key Deliverables • Test samples are to be gathered and tested within expected time frame, results entered into SAP and retains stored as required. • Maintain complete, accurate and legible test records, in accordance with Company policy and record keeping procedure. • Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for both the laboratory environment and testing equipment. • Assist with minor laboratory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance. • Support customer pre-ship sample order requests by obtaining, packaging and shipping samples requested in the sample order database. • Prepare and ship samples for external laboratory testing. • Perform testing and conduct analysis for special projects and nonconforming product investigations. • Fill laboratory shift vacancies, as needed. • Assist with maintaining and updating laboratory procedures. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a laboratory environment • Strong computer skills with word, database, and spreadsheet experience. • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, statistical analysis. • Experience and compliance with Laboratory bench practices and equipment management. • Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion. • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • High level of integrity and sincerity. • Team-oriented with a positive attitude. • Good attendance record.
