QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER jobs in Oklahoma

Cust-O-Fab, a leader in the design and manufacturing of shell and tube heat exchangers, vessels, towers, and other heat transfer components, in the petrochemical industry for over 50 years is currently seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager.

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager will oversee inspection staff and proactively improve upon processes to increase efficiency and production without the sacrifice of production quality.

• Work with sales, engineering, and production to review specifications, understand requirements, develop cost impact, write certifications, and write exceptions.

• Develop Inspection Test Plans in conjunction with engineering.

• Advise engineering of additional quality notes and quality requirements specific to projects.

• Kick off complex projects with manufacturing.

• Lead customer audits.

• Customer interaction and attending pre-inspection meetings.

• Work with manufacturing team to obtain feedback for upcoming projects inspection requirements to ensure products conform with internal procedures, applicable specifications, and codes.

• Educate and mentor employees on the requirements of applicable code(s) and standards.

• Continually evaluate the Quality System and update as necessary to fully comply with ASME Code, applicable regulations, and laws.

• Lead, follow and embrace all the Safety Procedures.

• Understand and apply Cust-O-Fab Quality Standards and Procedures.

• Conduct audits of manufacturing/production and suppliers.

• Generate and verify closure of nonconformance reports and corrective actions.

• Develop processes and procedures for Quality Assurance purposes.

• Obtain and renew ASME certifications.

The best candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• 10 years’ relevant industry experience required

• AWS Certified Weld Inspector

• Strong background in management and quality assessment and assurance

• Minimum 5 years of working experience with ASME Code

• Minimum 5 years of interpretation and application of technical documents desired

• Minimum 5 years of working knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division I, Section V and Section IX

• Minimum 5 years of working knowledge of welding processes and NDE techniques desired

• Ability to apply NDE procedures

• Must be self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated working experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
