Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Quality Assurance to manage, coordinate, and implement a formal quality improvement program and plan across clinical programs, including 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline calls, text, and chat services, as well as televideo services.
Duties:
- Manages, coordinates, and implements a formal quality improvement plan across the agency’s clinical programs (988 call, text, and chat, and televideo clinical services).
- Manages all internal QA activities and ensures adherence to all funder and agency QA goals; ensuring all deliverables are met.
- Ensures all QA/Outcome reports for external funders/stakeholders (KDADS, SAMHSA, Vibrant, CCBHCs) are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop partnerships with CCBHC’s to implement a QA program for their services.
- Attend community and state-wide meetings, provide trainings and presentations, as requested in conjunction with any other designated staff.
- Monitors, analyzes, and reports on performance, and develops strategies for improvement.
- Conducts documentation and call monitoring for quality improvement, utilizing evidence-based quality improvement measures for 988 services.
- Assess all clinical staffs adherence to service delivery and clinical standards.
- Identify areas of training and support needed for individuals and the department at large.
- Works in collaboration with the training team, supervisory staff, and administration to develop performance improvement plans.
- Participates in weekly program meetings by preparing reports and identifying contacts in need of clinical review.
- Maintains detailed records on quality improvement scores for all clinical staff and lines of service/programs.
- Assists in review of incident reports on a regular basis for quality and accuracy.
- In collaboration with clinical and administrative staff, conducts analysis and investigation of complaints and grievances relating to all services and programs.
- Engages in ongoing training activities, within the organization or facilitated by Vibrant, intended to promote professional development and reduce burnout.
- Actively participates in supervision by identifying and communication personal and organization strengths, needs, challenges, and solutions.
- Participates in the onboarding, training, and evaluation of all clinical staff.
- Actively engages in the quality initiatives undertaken by HealthSource and influences programs within the division or company that refine systems and processes and improve overall performance that are data and quality driven.
- Leads and promotes healthy relationships and boundaries, ethical practice, and a kind demeanor in the workplace and as a representative of the organization in public.
- Supports staff engagement and retention.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current Master’s degree, clinically licensed preferred, in a human service-related field and licensed through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences and Regulatory Board (BSRB);
- Strong diagnostic ability and knowledge base on behavioral health assessments and psychiatric disorders;
- High quality oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills in working with diverse populations;
- Quality conflict resolution skills, including providing direct and compassionate feedback.
- Effective strategies for managing compassion fatigue and symptoms of burnout, along with a willingness to seek supervision and support from the organization.
- Demonstrates superior customer service skills;
- Prior computer experience and basic computer fluency, as well as the ability to pull, interpret, and apply data to current practices and future initiatives.
- Demonstrates ability to learn and use new technologies, including computer programs and phone systems;
- Maintains effective, cooperative working relationships with people, both internally and externally, as it relates to the operations and business of HealthSource;
- Demonstrates an energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex workplace; adapting to progressively responsible clinical and administrative duties;
- Prepare and submit comprehensive and accurate reports to the Department of Child and Families (DCF) in accordance with mandated guidelines and timelines;
- Must maintain confidentiality and meet HIPAA standards for confidentiality;
- Must successfully complete background checks.
- Five (5) years of experience in the field of crisis and suicide intervention and prevention preferred;
- International Council for Helplines (ICH) Crisis Helpline Specialist Certification preferred;
- Experience with the CMHC/CCBHC system preferred;
- Preferred experience in strategic planning, accreditation, and program development, with special focus on 988 Crisis and Lifeline Services (calls, texts, and chats)
