Purchasing Manager manages procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Purchasing Manager
Provides leadership of Material and Supply Chain activities to include materials planning, scheduling, inventory control, cash flow management, and coordination. Works daily with suppliers, purchasing, production planners, and other resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information needed from procurement to delivery.
Job duties:
· Assists executive team with weekly forecasting on purchased components
· Communicates daily with vendors to make sure supplies are delivered in a timely manner
· Dispatches trucks as needed and collects invoices from vendors on all outbound loads to our Mexico facility
· Coordinates chassis and parts coming from other facility locations
· Reviews and communicate status of all backlogged purchase orders
· Attends production meetings as required
· Assists with A/P invoice resolutions
· Responsible for quarterly pricing shopping
· Requests cycle counts from Inventory team if an discrepancies in Inventory
· Assists Bill of Materials team as needed with parts information
· Helps receiving team local paperwork as needed
· Works with Safety team to make sure stocked items are replenished as needed
· Assist with corporate pricing and vendor management
· Performs other duties as assigned
