Public Transportation Inspector jobs in Nebraska

Midland Public Transit is looking to hire an as needed Public Transit driver in Clay County. We offer flexible hours and on the job training, no CDL required.

Tasks and Duties:

• Perform duties of driver, as needed and when tasked with operating transit vehicles, obey all laws governing the operations of transit vehicles in the state of Nebraska.
• When tasked with operating transit vehicles, enforcement of the use of all policies pertaining to the safe and efficient operations of transit vehicles.
• Provide safe transportation for the general public.

The position requires:

• Standing, bending, twisting, turning.
• Lifting and carrying up to a total weight of 30 lb. sacks into the vehicle and the passenger’s front door.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, push and lift
• Should be able to climb stairs if necessary.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time driving the vehicle safely.
