Psychologist - M.A. evaluates patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Being a Psychologist - M.A. uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a master's degree in clinical psychology. Additionally, Psychologist - M.A. requires a valid state license to practice. Typically reports to a medical director. The Psychologist - M.A. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Psychologist - M.A. typically requires 7+ years of related experience. Details Of The Psychologist Opening- Anticipated start date: ASAP
- Salary Range: $600/day
- Anticipated duration of assignment: 26 weeks
- Anticipated schedule: PT or FT / M-F 8a-5p

- Conduct assessments that help the VA answer questions about the Veterans’ current health.
- Common reasons for assessment: PTSD, depression, anxiety and eating disorders.
- While exam submission does have to be completed online, no typing is necessary while the Veteran is present in the room.
- Time is provided throughout the day for dictation so as not to disrupt the flow of the patient interview.
- All applicants must be fully vaccinated per the CDC and State guidelines.
- Graduated from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.
- Psychology – PhD or PsyD with licensure in good standing for State of practice.
- Current Independent Licensure in State of Practice.
- Current CPR.
- Preferred experience assessing Veterans.
