Provider Network Director directs and develops a healthcare provider network. Designs and administers policies and services that comply with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Being a Provider Network Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Provider Network Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Summary
This position is responsible for provider Recruitment and Contracting, Education of Providers, and ongoing Provider Service. Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility, including overnight stays.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor’s degree in business OR 4 years’ experience in managed care environment.
- 2 years’ experience in a position that demonstrates leadership abilities and sound decision-making.
- Knowledge of contracts, applications and products; claims processing systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in provider reimbursement methods.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Verbal and written communication skills; organizational and planning skills; ability to take initiative and work independently.
- PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office.
- Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility, including overnight stays.
