Job Responsibilities

• Help drive Proof's technology strategy and roadmap
• Take ownership of the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of one or more core aspects of Proof's technology stack (such as FIX Gateways, Order Management System, Algorithmic Trading Engine, Market Data Handler, System Infrastructure Components, Post-Trade Processes, Regulatory/Client Reporting, Database Management)
• Help with day-to-day operations, support, and monitoring of the trading system, along with building tools and automation that streamline these processes
• Help with DevOps, including CI/CD and release management
• Contribute to improved performance and resiliency of the trading platform in the cloud

General background

• 3 years of experience in US equities front office development, with knowledge of equities electronic trading workflow
• Experience with FIX protocol, including session-level aspects of the protocol
• Expertise in a programming language of your choice, with a willingness to develop using Java, Python, SQL, and JS/TypeScript

Additionally, the ideal candidate will also have

• Expertise in high performance Java
• Experience building a low-latency, distributed, event-based system
• Experience setting up DevOps processes (such as git repositories, source code scanners, continuous integration pipelines, artifact repositories)
• Experience setting up Linux servers, including networking aspects such as routes and VPN tunnels
• Strong familiarity with AWS
